University Rajasthan College, Jaipur is pleased to host a National Seminar on "Tribals of India: In Search of Identity", under the Janjatiya Gaurav (Tribal Pride) initiative of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.

Tribal communities, whose lives and livelihoods are deeply intertwined with nature, are facing unprecedented challenges amid rapid economic shifts, particularly following the expansion of information technology and the implementation of the New Economic Policy. This seminar seeks to bring together academicians, policymakers, industry leaders, corporate representatives, and government officials for insightful discussions on the issues affecting tribal communities in India. Through this collective discourse, we aim to generate policy recommendations that will contribute to their upliftment and long-term well-being.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we warmly invite you to participate in this two-day academic exchange, dedicated to one of India's most significant yet often unheard communities—one that played a crucial role in the country's freedom struggle yet remains on the margins of mainstream recognition.
